GODDDD I’m such a nerd but anyway I had this dream that me, Maria, Michelle, and Haku were Shadowrunners. So I had to sketch it out. I know none of you play the game but basically this is what happened:

Maria was our human Face (the head of the group/one who organizes all our Shadowruns) and had mirrored shades that she refused to take off under any circumstance. She also had more contacts across the globe than I think could ever be mechanically possible in game, so she was a ridiculous social ninja and saved the day in the end.

Michelle was an Awakened (read: magic powers!) elf and our hermetic mage. A hermetic mage (as opposed to a shaman) basically gets their powers through study of philosophy, chemistry, mathematics, etc.

Haku was a technomancer half-elf (!!!) with a sprite companion that was an albino raven. Technomancers are hackers that don’t need any gear or cyberware to access the Matrix. They have an innate, biological connection to machines that is inexplicable and freaky and rare.

I was a human/traditional hacker, necessitating a commlink to get into the Matrix, and me and Maria would hang back and do our dirty work from afar while Michelle/Haku infiltrated as a team. My avatar was, of course, a pigeon.

Based on this dream I have a very silly headcanon floating around and really I just wish we were all the same breed of nerd BECAUSE I WANT TO PLAY THIS SCENARIO.

But FUCK that sounds so fucking amazing especially considering that I’ve been listening to nothing but the Ghost In The Shell soundtrack which is all techno-y urgent adventure battle badass stuff so I’m sitting here with that in my head imagining all of the things you’ve described, forming imaginary scenarios and playing them out - !!!FOR ONCE IN MY LIFE I GET TO BE GOOD AT MATH AND CHEMISTRY!!! - and generally staring at how incredible you are at capturing someone’s essence in so few lines.

You have consistently fantastic interests so foreign yet so interesting to me.
